General Information

The Swiss Doctoral Program Network in Accounting Research (DAR) is a partnership among the Universities of Basel, Bern, Neuchâtel, and Zurich. DAR offers a competitive doctoral course program in the area of accounting research. The courses cover a relevant set of topics and research methodologies applied in academic accounting research and are taught by leading international experts in their field.

The program provides doctoral students with an excellent opportunity to interact with leading accounting researchers and to benefit from their expertise, experience and advice. Successful students will be able to build up their own international research network and to prepare themselves for an academic career in accounting.

Currently, the network offers the following areas of specialization

• Analytical research in managerial and financial accounting (Basel and Zurich)
• Empirical research in managerial and financial accounting (Neuchâtel and Zurich)
• Experimental research in managerial and financial accounting (Bern)
